Why do we need more pink & glitter in business? Because we spend most of our lives at work. A place with many questionable norms.
I want a workplace where everyone can question norms and feels safe to do so. A place where people show vulnerability, and it is considered as a strength.
I want a workplace that experiments outside of the norms (but of course, don’t do unethical stuff!). Let’s rethink how we meet (me sighing when I get another invitation for an after-work dedicated to lots free wine and a bit of sparkly water for the rest) and what methods we use (“we can’t do that with this stakeholder, because…”).
I want a workplace that celebrates and embraces everyone the way they are.
Pink & glitter in business are metaphors for exactly that. Bringing pink to the business world is bold and brave breaking the norm of what can be considered as serious. Glitter is the joy experienced when experiments outside the norms unleash new perspectives, thoughts and energy and when individuals simply start to sparkle when they are freed from worrying about how other people might perceive them.
Last but not least, AI is and is effortlessly perfect at being “professional”, “business-like”, “cold”. You can differentiate by being human.
